Syncing multimedia data is just the beginning of things that this app can do, enabling users to also have full control over the firmware upgrade process of their phone (not on all phone models) and ability to easy access calendar, email, message, contact data and even full file manager on your PC. This of course includes ability to send and receive SMS messages on PC, where they can be sorted, written and deleted easily using your keyboard and mouse. Lastly, Nokia PC suite has a integrated tools for backing up data from your phone, enabling you not only to keep a secure copy of your contacts on your PC storage, but also to enable you to easily transfer your private data form one Nokia phone to another.
User interface of Nokia PC Suite has a very visually oriented dashboard, with image of the currently connected phone and 11 main Icons that can activate specific sections of this phone managing application. Not all versions of this app support all Nokia phones, so users need to check Nokia PC Suite compatibility list on its main website.
After release of Nokia Asha lines of phones, Nokia PC Suite was discontinued and all Nokia development time is invested into app called Nokia Suite.
